Restoring the on-screen (virtual) keyboard
A Bluetooth foot pedal is attached to your tablet as a keyboard. This causes the tablet to turn off the on-screen or virtual keyboard that you normally see when you tap an input field. Since you need the on-screen keyboard to enter data, ScoreMaestro detects this situation and gives you the Keyboard Instructions dialog box you see below. After you tap OK in this dialog, you will be presented an Android System dialog that will allow you to turn the on-screen keyboard back on. The contents of this dialog will vary depending on the brand and operating system of your tablet. Scroll down to see images of the most common virtual keyboard activation prompts and follow the instructions for the image that most resembles the one on your tablet.
There are three sets of images with instructions below. Follow the instructions under the image that matches most closely what you see after tapping OK in the dialog above.
Physical Keyboard Instructions
If you see Physical keyboard turned on, you need to turn it off. You do this by tapping on the black part of
the black and orange line under ‘ON’. This will not prevent the Bluetooth foot pedal from working.
Show Input Method Instructions
If you see the text ‘Show input method’, you need to turn it on.
You do this by tapping on the gray oval to the right of the text.
On-Screen or Virtual Keyboard Instructions
If you see Show or Enable virtual or on-screen keyboard, you need to turn it on.
You do this by tapping on the gray slider to the right of the text.
